Advanced Technology
At HRO, we pride ourselves on leveraging advanced technology and ensuring stringent data security. Our technology platform is designed to streamline the recovery process.
Recognizing the critical importance of data security, we are committed to safeguarding the sensitive information of our clients and their patients. Our robust security infrastructure adheres to the highest industry standards, including HIPAA and HITECH compliance, and employs advanced encryption methods to protect data at rest and in transit. Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments ensure that our systems remain resilient against evolving threats.
HRO fully complies with NIST 800-53, NIST SP 800-161, NIST 800-171, and Executive Order 14028 (C-SCRM). All data is transmitted through a secure FTP or a secure Client website, and we do not share or send NPI or PII information via any unencrypted platforms.
Stored data in our network is appropriately classified, and HRO maintains robust cybersecurity via our firewall, anti-virus/malware software, and email policies, all of which are monitored in real-time, 24 x 7. In addition, HRO has implemented Duo Multifactor Authentication for any remote network connections to mitigate any Supply Chain Risk Management issues.
All network activity is closely monitored, and a third-party conducts Vulnerability and Penetration Tests annually. SOPs and Policies related to Data Security, Incident Management, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity are maintained. Staff is trained on these Policies, which are reviewed annually and updated when warranted.
Internal system audits occur regularly and continuously. Our IT Engineer / IT Team works closely with HRO’s management and in-house Compliance Counsel to maintain an optimal organization-wide information security program.
HRO performs annual BCDR, daily internal/external yearly vulnerability tests, annual penetration tests, intrusion prevention, and conducts active monitoring. We maintain robust policies and procedures to support SOC requirements.
HRO plays a critical role in ensuring that healthcare providers receive the reimbursement they are owed for the services they provide. With this responsibility comes the need to maintain a high standard of compliance and ethical conduct in all recovery matters.
To demonstrate our commitment to compliance, HRO has policies and procedures in place that are designed to ensure that all recovery activities are conducted in accordance with applicable statutes, laws and regulations, as well as industry best practices. These policies and procedures cover all aspects of the recovery process.
HRO has a dedicated compliance officer that is responsible for overseeing compliance efforts and ensuring that all employees are trained on the relevant statutes, laws and regulations. Additionally, regular audits and internal reviews are conducted to ensure that all policies and procedures are being followed.
HRO’s commitment to compliance in handling recovery matters is critical to maintaining the trust and confidence of the healthcare providers we represent, as well as the patients they serve. By implementing robust policies and procedures, maintaining a dedicated compliance team, and conducting regular audits and reviews, you can ensure that HRO is operating in a manner that is both ethical and compliant.
